Peace at last…

Jesus the Great High Priest
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Hebrews 4:14-16
I had the opportunity to attend church this weekend. Now with the current situation of my husband being ill for the last 14 weeks, my church attendance has been lacking… however, I was blessed with the opportunity to have someone come and stay with him while I escaped for a few hours and went to church.  It was during the teaching on this scripture that I finally experienced a peace that consumed my body. With tears streaming down my face I found myself praising the Lord for the place I am in, for the trails we are facing and the truth that comes from this scripture.   You see, I hold vastly to the fact that Jesus Christ is who I live for, He is good and He is the Son of God who just so happens to sympathize with my weaknesses, He knows my temptations, and it is through Him that I may have confidence in my pleas for grace. I will not be shaken, nor destroyed. I am renewed after my little time away and am ready to continue the battles that lie ahead…
